VOLUTA — Italian. "A volute — the scroll of a capital."

Voluta — Italian for the scroll of a capital — is a standing bronze figure drawn as a single continuous line, one arm carried over the head and closed into a loop. The waist is cut back almost to nothing, so the weight appears to hang from the raised arm rather than stand on the legs. Cast in bronze and finished in a warm dark patina. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, six to eight weeks.
