Stravia Waves
A wave, held still — carved from a single block of white marble.
Some pieces are furniture for a garden. This one is the reason the garden exists. Stravia Waves was commissioned as the centrepiece of a private villa courtyard in Dubai — a fluted wave nearly two metres long, its surface running in unbroken lines from crest to trough, breaking white against a wall of palms.
Every Flute, Fixed Before the First Cut
The wave was resolved digitally to the millimetre: 180 cm long, 75 cm at the crest, the flutes swelling from 22.5 cm at the tail to 30 cm at the break, on a 160 × 35 cm plinth. The client approved this model — every ridge, every valley — before a block was selected. In monumental stone there are no second attempts; the drawing is the contract.
The Machine Establishes the Geometry
A five-axis mill worked the block for days under a constant stream of water, translating the approved model into stone — flute by flute, pass by pass. Machining a continuous compound curve in marble at this scale leaves no room for error: one fault line, one misjudged pass, and the block is lost. Ours held.
The Hand Gives It Life
Then the machines stopped, and the slow work began: every flute refined and polished by hand, edge by edge, until the stone reads as something soft — combed, brushed, almost liquid. The mill can cut a curve; only the hand can make it feel like water.
It Arrived Over the Wall
At 1.2 tonnes, Stravia Waves did not come through the front door. Our team surveyed the site, coordinated the crane and permits, and on installation morning the crated sculpture rose over the garden wall and settled onto its plinth — positioned, levelled and unveiled in a single day. The client's role was to watch it fly.

Placement
Outdoor-rated, free-standing on its plinth — the stone's mass is its own anchor. Sealing guidance provided for garden settings.
Monumental single-block commissions are confirmed in a fixed proposal before any work begins, with the 3D model approved before stone is cut. Payment is structured in two stages: 50% to confirm the order and 50% on approval of the completed piece, prior to dispatch — with delivery, craneage and installation coordinated by our team. Every commission carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

The sculpture is carved from a single block of white marble on a five-axis mill, then every flute is refined and polished by hand — the machine establishes the geometry, the hand gives it life. The form is approved as a dimensioned 3D model before any stone is cut.
How do you install a 1.2-tonne sculpture in a finished garden? +
Yes. At roughly 1.2 tonnes, the piece is craned into position in its protective crate and set onto its plinth by our installation team. We survey access, coordinate the crane and permits, and hand the sculpture over placed, levelled and finished — the client watches it arrive over the garden wall and is done.
