Infinity Fountain
A museum-grade bronze infinity, turning above its own falling water.
For the arrival courtyard of a private villa in an Emaar community, the brief asked for the classic centrepiece — a fountain on the entrance axis — resolved in a contemporary language. The answer is a twisting infinity form in museum-grade cast bronze, rising a metre and a half above a stepped black marble basin, with water spilling in twin blades from the plinth beneath it. The loop reads differently from every approach: a figure of eight from the door, a single rising ribbon from the drive.
Engineered Like a Product, Finished Like an Artwork
Behind the sculpture is a fully resolved water system: a concealed pump beneath the basin, a water circuit channelled through the cast form itself, expansion-screw fixings into the plinth, and a single power connection. Everything mechanical is invisible from every angle a guest will ever stand. The system recirculates continuously, so the fountain consumes only what evaporates.
Resolved to the Millimetre
The form was fixed before casting: 150 cm overall height, 62 cm across the top loop, 70 cm at the widest turn, on a 40.7 cm square base. Proportioned so the sculpture holds the courtyard from the gate yet never blocks the doorway behind it, the drawing was approved by the client before any bronze was poured — and the delivered piece matches it exactly.
The sculpture is cast in museum-grade bronze and finished the way public collections demand: welded, chased, hand-burnished, then patinated hot — a torch and mineral salts developing the colour layer by layer until the surface holds a deep umber with living, burnished highlights. A hot-applied patina is not paint; it is the metal itself, changed. It weathers gracefully, deepens with time, and can be renewed decades from now.

Heard Before It Is Seen
Twin stainless blades release the water in two clean sheets from the plinth, tuned to a soft, even fall — enough sound to carry to the gate, never enough to intrude on a conversation beside it. The bronze stays dry above the waterline, so the patina lives its own life while the marble below carries the movement and light.

The fountain is a sealed, self-recirculating system — a concealed pump draws from the basin and returns the water continuously, so the only routine care is topping up for evaporation and an occasional clean of the pump filter. The bronze itself needs nothing beyond a soft dry cloth; its patina is designed to deepen gracefully over time.

Yes. The form can be scaled from courtyard size to hotel-lobby scale, paired with a larger basin, or produced as a dry sculpture without the water system. Each commission is resolved as a technical drawing first — dimensions, water circuit, fixings and power — and approved before casting begins.
