3D Wall Art in Dubai: Materials, Sizes and What It Costs

Short answer: 3D wall art in Dubai is wall-mounted sculpture with real depth, usually in stainless steel, bronze, brass or wire. Most pieces in our range are 1 to 2 metres across and cost roughly AED 15,000 to AED 60,000. The price depends on size, material, finish and how much handwork the surface needs.

"3D wall art" is one of the most searched art terms in Dubai, and it covers everything from a printed foam panel to a hand-finished bronze relief. Those are not the same purchase, and the gap between them is the reason so many people are disappointed by what arrives.

This is what I explain to clients who ask us about wall art for the first time.

What counts as 3D wall art?

Nur — 130 × 85 cm dark bronze wall sculpture of a layered shell with a polished core, studio view of the whole piece

Anything that comes off the wall far enough to throw a shadow. In practice that means relief and wall sculpture: metal folded, cast, woven or layered so the surface has depth, from a few centimetres to 20 cm or more. The shadow is what makes it read as art rather than decoration, and it changes through the day as the light moves.

Flat printed panels with a raised texture are a different thing. They are fine for a corridor in a show apartment. They do not age well in a villa.

Which materials are used for 3D wall art?

Asse — 200 × 80 cm long wall sculpture of a gold bowl set between two black ovals, close studio detail of the surface and material

Stainless steel: mirror, brushed or coloured. Light, strong and stable in heat. Good for modern rooms.

Bronze: cast or fabricated, with a patina that can run from near-black to gold. Warm and heavy, with the most depth of colour.

Brass: brighter than bronze, either lacquered to stay bright or left to darken.

Wire: steel, copper or bronze wire woven into open forms. Light on the wall, very sculptural in side light.

The guide to stainless steel finishes explains mirror, brushed and coloured surfaces in more detail.

How much does 3D wall art cost in Dubai?

Lucidez — 110 × 200 cm tall standing mirror with a brushed stainless steel frame melting at the base, the same room at night, lamps on

Across our current wall art collection, most pieces sit between about AED 15,000 and AED 60,000. Smaller steel pieces around a metre across start in the mid-teens. Large bronze reliefs, woven pieces and sculptural mirrors run from AED 45,000 to AED 70,000, and a few monumental reliefs go higher.

Four things move the price: size, material (bronze costs more than steel), finish (a hand-applied patina or mirror polish takes time) and complexity (woven and layered pieces carry the most handwork). Changing the size of a catalogue design is normal, and we quote it the same way.

How is 3D wall art fixed to the wall?

Shams — 120 × 120 cm round copper wire wall sculpture with a crescent opening, seen from above in the room

With concealed brackets or a cleat fixed into solid wall, so the piece sits flush and cannot be lifted off by accident. Blockwork and concrete are straightforward. Gypsum partitions need timber or steel backing behind the board, which is easy before the wall is closed and annoying after.

Weight is the thing to ask about. A steel piece of 120 cm might weigh 15 to 30 kg; a bronze relief of the same size can be several times that. We tell you the weight and the fixing before you order, and our team installs it.

Can 3D wall art go outside in the UAE?

Torrente — 210 × 80 cm long wall sculpture of layered scales shading from gold to black, close view in the room

Some of it. Marine-grade stainless steel and bronze handle heat, humidity and salt air well. Coloured coatings, enamel and some patinas need shade or are better kept indoors. Wire pieces collect dust outside and are best under cover.

For courtyard and covered terrace walls, ask for the outdoor version of a design. We specify the grade and finish for the location, not just for the look.

How do I choose the right piece for my wall?

Janah — dark bronze wire wall sculpture of two outstretched wings, studio side angle showing its depth

Measure the wall, note what sits in front of it and where the light comes from, then choose the form. Round pieces soften square rooms. Long horizontal pieces suit corridors and the wall above a long console. Tall pieces use double-height space.

Size is where most people go wrong. The rules I use are in sizing wall art for a living room.

What I tell clients

  • Real 3D wall art throws a shadow. If it doesn't, it is a texture, not a sculpture.
  • Ask for the weight and the fixing before you order.
  • Stainless steel and bronze are the safe choices for heat and humidity.
  • Most of our wall pieces cost between AED 15,000 and AED 60,000; resizing a design is normal.

Frequently asked questions

What is 3D wall art?

Wall-mounted sculpture with real depth, usually metal or stone, that projects from the wall and throws shadows. It is different from flat printed panels with a raised texture.

How much does 3D wall art cost in Dubai?

In 1-OPH's collection most pieces cost about AED 15,000 to AED 60,000, depending on size, material, finish and handwork. Large reliefs and sculptural mirrors can cost more.

What material is best for 3D wall art in the UAE?

Stainless steel and bronze. Both handle heat and humidity; marine-grade steel and bronze also suit covered outdoor walls.

Can 3D wall art be hung on a gypsum wall?

Yes, if timber or steel backing is fitted behind the board first. Heavier bronze pieces should go on blockwork or concrete.

Can I order a catalogue wall sculpture in a different size?

Yes. Resizing a design is a normal request and is quoted on the new dimensions and material.

Browse the wall art collection, or send us your wall's size and a photo through the customise page and we will suggest pieces that fit.
