About this piece

Apertura

Italian. "An opening."

Apertura — Italian for an opening — is a single sheet furled into a standing form that opens along its length, blackened outside and polished copper within so the interior glows against the matte shell. It rises from a narrow footprint. Made for foyers, stair halls and gallery floors. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, six to eight weeks.
