About this piece

Sadafi

Arabic. Of mother-of-pearl.

Sadafi — Arabic for of mother-of-pearl — is a rectangular panel shingled with overlapping pointed plates in bronze, gold, cream, black and silver. The mixed finishes scatter light unevenly, which is the point — no row repeats the one above it. Made for reception walls, corridors and dining rooms. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, six to eight weeks.
