Sadaf — Arabic for shell, mother-of-pearl — is a large ovoid form in patinated bronze, cut open along one axis to reveal a polished interior shell that holds the light like the inside of a shell. Smoke-grey outside, warm bronze within. Made for entrance rotundas, courtyards and double-height halls. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, six to eight weeks.
