FOCARA — Southern Italian. A midwinter bonfire.
Focara — southern Italian for a midwinter bonfire — is a stone fireplace built as a linear block of dry-laid rubble stone under a clean burner trough. A low ribbon of flame runs the length of the opening over a bed of dark lava pebbles. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, from design to delivery in six to eight weeks.
