COLLADO — Spanish. "A saddle between two hills."
Collado — Spanish for the saddle between two hills — is carved from a single block of deep green marble, the figure lying along its own slab base so that body and ground are one stone. The marble is honed rather than polished, which lets the pale veining read as movement across the flank. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, six to eight weeks.
