Amazonian floodplain.
Varzea — the Amazonian floodplain — is a turning mass in polished steel, its whole surface cut into close parallel ribs that follow the twist of the form. The ribs catch light along their crests and hold shadow between them, so the piece reads as movement. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, six to eight weeks.
