Vale — Latin. "Farewell"; also a valley — is a seat drawn as a single feather, its barbs cut in fine parallel ridges along the length. The stone is worked to a honed finish and the seat is cut from a single block, so it reads as sculpture first and seating second. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, six to eight weeks.
