Italian. "A drawn stroke."
Tratto — Italian for a drawn stroke — is a tall, narrow bundle of blackened rods cut to varying lengths, punctuated by small polished brass nodes that catch the light like points on a score. The work reads as a single drawn line from across a room and as a thicket up close. Made for lift lobbies, stair walls and narrow piers. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, six to eight weeks.
