Persian. "Sapphire."
Nilam — Persian for sapphire — is a circular disc whose surface folds inward in slow curves, finished in a burnt blue that shifts toward violet as it turns. Against a dark wall it reads as a single stone; against glazing it picks up the sky. Made for living rooms, bedrooms and hotel suites. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, six to eight weeks.
