About this piece

Aqmar

Arabic. Moons.

Aqmar — Arabic for moons — is a drift of overlapping discs at graded diameters, each spun to a shallow cone and finished differently — blackened, brass, pewter, champagne. The cluster catches light unevenly, so no two discs read the same at any hour. Made for reception walls, stair halls and dining rooms. Made to order in the 1-OPH atelier, six to eight weeks.
