Three Times, Identical
A hospitality commission carries a demand a private one does not: the pieces must match. Guests move between courtyards in a single evening, and any drift in profile, proportion or tone reads instantly as three fountains rather than one design.
Each fountain was carved from travertine — bowl, pedestal, base and finial worked as separate components, then assembled and checked against the others. The bowl rim carries a ring of carved petals; the crown is a hand-cut pineapple finial, a classical motif of hospitality and welcome, appropriate to the setting and cut freehand on every piece.
Travertine was the right stone for the brief. Its natural pitting and warm sand tone sit comfortably beside the resort's existing masonry, and it weathers gracefully in Gulf heat and humidity rather than fighting it.
Scope of Work
1-OPH designed, carved, finished and delivered the three fountains — bowls, pedestals, bases and finials, complete and ready for connection.
