Aura's Reflection
Two mirror-polished spheres, each opening into a void that reflects the garden back into itself.
For the entrance of a private villa in Dubai Hills Estate, the client wanted a sculptural moment at the water — something that would hold the arrival sequence without adding visual weight. The answer was a pair of spheres in mirror-polished stainless steel, each cut open by a tilted concave void. The mirror surface dissolves the pieces into their surroundings: sky, palms, stone and water, curved and returned. The sculpture is, in effect, made of its own setting.
Approved in the Round
The pair was resolved as a 3D model first — two diameters, 80 cm and 70 cm, with the concave openings tilted toward the entrance path so the nested reflections greet visitors as they arrive. The model was reviewed and signed off before fabrication, fixing the geometry, the tilt angles and the composition on the plinth exactly as they now stand.
From Brushed Steel to True Mirror
Each sphere is fabricated in marine-grade 316 stainless steel, welded, ground and then polished through progressively finer stages until the surface holds a true, distortion-free mirror. The concave interior is the hardest passage — a curved mirror within a curved mirror, polished by hand until the reflections nest cleanly, ring within ring. The client received photo and video updates throughout.

A Different Sculpture After Dark
By day the spheres carry the sky and the garden. By night they gather the villa's lighting scheme — the lit water, the up-lit trees, the glow from the glazing — and hold it in miniature. No lighting is built into the pieces themselves; the mirror does the work, which means the sculpture changes with every season, hour and switch of a lamp.
Mirror-polished 316 commissions are confirmed in a fixed proposal before any work begins, with the 3D model approved before fabrication. Payment is structured in two stages: 50% to confirm the order and 50% on approval of the completed pieces, prior to dispatch. Every commission carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
