Ribbed Bowl
A half-sphere of black granite, ribbed by hand on the outside, smooth inside, with one lit jet at the centre. Made and water-tested at the yard, then supplied with every drawing the installer would need.
Made Here, Fitted There
A private residence in Abu Dhabi wanted one quiet piece of water at the centre of the courtyard: a black bowl, ribbed like the trunk of a palm, with a single jet. The brief was supply only — the site team would set it.
So we built it as if we were the ones fitting it. The bowl was assembled and run on water at our yard, then shipped with the section drawing, the pipe and drain positions, and a step-by-step setting guide. When the installers arrived on site, there was nothing left to guess.

What the Installer Received
A supply-only job still gets the full drawing set. This section is what travelled with the bowl.
The Bowl
A half-sphere Ø 1,500 mm cut from black granite, smooth and polished inside so the water sheet reads clean, ribbed outside so the light does not.
The Ribs
Horizontal grooves cut by hand around the full outer face — approved on a sample first, then cut a millimetre or two deeper than drawn so they read from across the courtyard.
The Water
A 1½″ stainless supply through the base to a single central nozzle with an integrated light, overflowing to the pit below and back to the pump.
The Handover
Sections, pipe and drain positions, fixing detail and a setting sequence — so the site team could build the pit, land the bowl and connect it without a call.
Cut. Ribbed. Run.
